Flat Rate Exceptions:

Service Area:

If you are located outside our service area, additional rates will apply for travel.

Fireplaces:

On rare occasions, our flat rate plan does not apply. These rare occasions typically are in cases of extremely large fireplaces. By large, we mean that our entire body, or bodies are inside the fireplace (firebox). In these cases, Tyvek suites, booties, hats and gloves must be worn along with a respirator. These flues also require a very large flue brush, which are often custom ordered.

We will provide a free quote prior to beginning any work.

Wood Burning Stoves:

On rare occasions, our flat rates do not apply on wood stoves. These rare occasions typically are in cases of improperly installed stove pipes, chimneys, caps, or other components of the wood burning system. This usually involves caulking the flashing, storm collar, or adding screws to your stove pipe joints. The charges are typically under $25.00. We will provide a free verbal quote prior to beginning any additional work.

Wood Burning Furnaces:

Wood burning furnaces in Montana are rare a rare find to begin with. Professionals who can properly and knowledgeably install them are even more rare. Occasions where our flat rates do not apply are typically are in cases of improperly installed stove pipes, chimneys, or other components of the wood burning system. We will provide a free quote prior to beginning work for any necessary repairs.

U.S. Fire Administration

More than one-third of Americans use fireplaces, wood stoves and other fuel-fired appliances as primary heat sources in their homes. Unfortunately, many people are unaware of the fire risks when heating with wood and solid fuels.

Heating fires account for 36% of residential home fires in rural areas every year. Often these fires are due to creosote buildup in chimneys and stovepipes. All home heating systems require regular maintenance to function safely and efficiently.

The United States Fire Administration (USFA) encourages you to practice the following fire safety steps to keep those home fires safely burning. Remember, fire safety is your personal responsibility ...Fire Stops With You! Learn More
